Intel Core Processor (Series 3) Powers Over 70 PC Models

Intel held a keynote speech at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2026 on June 2nd (Taiwan time). Among them, it was revealed that more than 70 PC products are equipped with the "Core Processor (Series 3)" announced on April 16 (Pacific Daylight Time in the United States). It's been just under two months since the announcement, and it's a great way to show off that many mainstream products are now equipped with CPUs with the latest architecture.

What is "Core Processor (Series 3)"?

The Core processor (Series 3) is a CPU for mainstream (popular) PCs designed with the same architecture as the "Core Ultra processor (Series 3)" and has the same development code name as "Panther Lake."

The main differences from the Core Ultra processor (series 3) are as follows.

Whereas the Core processors up to Series 2 were "refreshed versions of previous generation CPUs," Series 3 purposely uses the latest generation to create a mainstream CPU suitable for the hybrid AI era.

Like the Core Ultra processor (Series 3) on which it is based, the Core processor (Series 3) is also packaged with the assumption that it will be installed in mobile (notebook) PCs, but it is also intended to be installed in compact desktop PCs and edge computing devices.
