Criticism from Ione Belarra to the Israeli decision of 12 countries: "Insufficient"

Belarra evaluated the AA correspondent about the decision of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom to impose trade restrictions on goods coming from Israeli settlements that usurped the occupied Palestinian lands, in a joint written statement made on September 8.

"We believe that the international community has completely failed vis-à-vis the Palestinian people." Belarra said that they found the recent attempt of 12 Western countries to impose trade sanctions against Israel "insufficient".

Belarra, one of the politicians with the harshest attitude towards Israel in Spain, said: "The initiative of these countries is far from what they need to do to put real pressure on Israel to end this genocide once and for all." He criticized.

Belarra said, "This genocide has been going on for more than three years. It is now obvious that the atrocities in the Gaza Strip continue silently every day, despite the ostensible ceasefire achieved last year, thanks entirely to the pressure and global organization of civil society." he said.

"We will continue to put pressure on the Spanish government and other states."

"We believe that Israel should be expelled from all international organizations and isolated at the global level, as well as severing all military and commercial ties." Belarra said, "We will continue to put pressure on the Spanish government and other states that have not taken steps in this direction to follow this path." he said.
