Claims of color fading and staining on iPhone 18 Pro

The new flagship series iPhone 18 Pro, which technology giant Apple launched with great expectations, came to the fore with a production defect allegedly seen in the devices.

Users stated that shortly after purchasing the devices, discoloration and staining occurred, especially around the rear camera lenses. Following successive posts on social media and technology forums, many consumers who experienced permanent discoloration applied to Apple to initiate the return process.

According to posts on Reddit and various technology platforms, the problem focuses on the area around the triple camera setup. Consumers who took the device out of its new box or used it for a few days noticed pinkness and stain-like discoloration around the area. While users reacted to the situation by emphasizing that the stains did not go away despite the cleaning interventions, some buyers claimed that the device was discolored from the first moment it was shipped.

It was determined that the color loss crisis in question was concentrated in certain color options. According to user feedback, it was reported that Burgundy and Black models were most affected by the crisis. No similar problem was encountered in the "Ice Blue" and "Silver" color options.

Technology analysis platform AppleInsider pointed out that the problem may be caused by a technical glitch in the electrolytic bath and anodization process applied in coloring the aluminum material. While consumers who encountered permanent color change initiated the return process on the grounds of defective goods, Apple has not yet made an official statement.
