Iran is again offering bounties on US soldiers

It is not the first time that Iran has put a bounty on US soldiers. In August, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami announced a similar reward of the equivalent of $30,000 for citizens who manage to capture or kill a US soldier.

At the end of February, the USA and Israel began their war against Iran and massively bombed the country from the air. The conflict has not yet been resolved and negotiations have been at an impasse for months. There is a particular dispute over the Strait of Hormuz, which is important for global energy trade. There was repeated speculation about a limited ground deployment by the US military.
