Separatist leaders of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales meet in Cardiff

According to the statement made by the pro-secession parties in power in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, leaders John Swinney, Michelle O'Neill and Rhun ap Iorwerth will meet today in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, and discuss common issues affecting the three regions.

Instead of the title of "Regional Prime Minister", the three people who will meet with the titles of leaders of the Scottish National Party (SNP), Sinn Fein (Northern Ireland) and Plaid Cymru (Wales) parties will be joined by Mary Lou McDonald, the leader of Sinn Fein, the nationalist party of the Republic of Ireland.

At the meeting to be held under the leadership of Plaid Cymru leader Ap Iorwerth, the right to self-determination and the common interests of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the three non-England countries that make up the United Kingdom, will be discussed.

British newspaper The Telegraph announced that the three leaders would sign a memorandum of understanding for the independence referendum.

The three leaders, who will sign the document prepared to reiterate the demand for independence, aim to put more pressure on British Prime Minister Andy Burnham towards this goal.

SEPARATIONISTS RUN ALONE IN WALES AND SCOTLAND

In Wales and Scotland, pro-secession parties are in power alone, although they do not have a majority. In Northern Ireland, where there is no clear separatist advantage in the parliament, the "power sharing" model is applied.

In Northern Ireland, where the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister are elected from different parties, both names must have equal power. In Northern Ireland, separatist O'Neill is sitting in the Regional Prime Minister's seat, and pro-British Emma Little-Pengelly is sitting in the Deputy Prime Minister's seat.
