Latest Poll in Israel: Gadi Eisenkot's Party Leaves Likud Behind

According to the latest poll of Channel 13 television broadcasting in Israel, if the elections are held today, the Yashar Party led by Gadi Eisenkot will have 22 deputies, while Likud will have only 18 deputies.

The decline in Netanyahu's party, Likud, which was predicted to win 21 seats in a poll conducted by the Midgam Institute for Channel 12 on September 8, continues.

While the Yashar and Likud parties are followed by Beyahad led by Naftali Bennett and the Democrats led by Yair Golan with 11 MPs each, Our Home Israel, United Torah Judaism and the Joint List representing Palestinians with Israeli citizenship gain 8 MPs each.

While the far-right Jewish Power and Ultra-Orthodox Shas parties, led by Itamar Ben Gvir, have 7 seats each, the Religious Zionism Party of far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has 6 seats.

Another far-right politician, Ofer Winter's Israeli People's Party, and Raam, representing voters of Palestinian origin, remain in 5 seats each. The Reserves Party, led by Yoaz Hendel, who is not affiliated with either bloc, crosses the threshold in a key position with 4 seats.

EISENKOT AHEAD FOR THE PRIME MINISTRY

The question asked to the participants: "Which name is more suitable for the Prime Ministry?" On the question, opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot received 48 percent support. While current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remained at 36 percent, 16 percent of the participants reported that they were undecided between the two names.

It was noted that 1503 people participated in the survey conducted by The Index (Shmuel Rosner, Noah Slepkov) in cooperation with Stat-Net, The Sample Project and Askaria, and the margin of error in the survey was 2.5 percent.

According to the Israeli election system, the support of at least 61 deputies in the 120-seat Israeli Parliament is required to form a government.

General elections in Israel are planned to be held on October 27.
