Heavy rain and storms are expected in Istanbul

NTV Meteorology Editor Dilek Çalışkan said that the temperature in Istanbul will drop to 15 degrees today.

Çalışkan stated that the rainy weather system coming from the Balkans, combined with cold weather, will affect Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Zonguldak, Bartın and Düzce, and pointed out that there is a danger of floods.

The rain is expected to reach the Bosphorus first and then the Anatolian Side towards the evening hours today.

Caliskan said, "There is a dull weather right now. The air is going to explode," and warned not to enter ankle-deep water.

According to the statement made by AKOM, temperatures will drop in Istanbul due to heavy rains.

It was stated in the statement that the effect of the rains in the Marmara Region is expected to increase, and that the temperatures will decrease until the evening hours and drop to around 16 degrees, the rains will be effective until the night hours today, and there will be thunderstorms of 60 to 100 kilograms per square meter.

At the moments when the amount of humidity rises to the highest levels due to the north wind that carries the humid air of the Black Sea, heavy rain showers with lightning, lightning, storms and thunder are expected as the upper level of the atmosphere is cold and the ground level is warmer than the sea and land.
