Drug shipment disguised as a food courier in Istanbul: 2 suspects arrested

Istanbul Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate teams carried out an operation on 6 addresses and 3 vehicles in Esenyurt, Silivri, Ataşehir, Başakşehir, Kağıthane and Avcılar on October 19, within the scope of efforts to prevent drug trafficking.

A.Y. in operations (24) and Y.T.Ö. (23) caught. During the searches of the vehicle and addresses, 98 kilos and 500 grams of skunk, 1 kilogram of cocaine, 3 precision scales and a hand grenade were seized.

It was determined that the suspects carried the drugs in closed boxes and delivered them under the guise of courier delivering food.

2 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED, THERE ARE 3 DETAINED

After being processed at the police station, 2 suspects were sent to the courthouse and arrested.

The teams also detained D.G.E (23), who was determined to be linked to the suspects. During the search at the address, a handmade explosive tied to a rope and suspended in the elevator shaft of the building and 29 cartridges with a diameter of 7.62 millimeters were found.

Suspect D.G.E. He was taken to the police station for processing.

As part of the team's work, an operation was carried out at an address thought to be used as a warehouse in Kağıthane. During the search at the address, 568 kilos and 300 grams of raw materials used to make synthetic drug pills were seized and 2 suspects were detained.
