Bloody showdown in the middle of the street: He killed the butcher: 'Do not give goods to my wife'

The incident took place yesterday morning in Cevatpaşa District Güvercin Street. Allegedly, Recep P. threatened butcher Fikret Korkmaz, who was trying to sell products to his wife, who was running a restaurant and was going through a divorce, not to sell. After Korkmaz continued to insist on selling products, Recep P. began to follow the butcher.

The suspect followed Korkmaz on foot for a while and started arguing with Korkmaz on the road. It quickly turned into a stabbing attack. Recep P., who took out his knife, injured the butcher Fikret Korkmaz. While Korkmaz collapsed as a result of the stab wounds he received, the suspect ran away. Upon the notice of the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Fikret Korkmaz, who was determined to be seriously injured in the incident during the checks of the medical teams, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Fikret Korkmaz, who was treated in the hospital, could not be saved despite all the interventions. Police teams quickly caught the escaped suspect, Recep P.

İhsan Günaydın, an employee of Fikret Korkmaz, who lost his life, said, "The suspicious person is our customer, but I do not know him. A person who wanted to break up with his wife threatened our boss by saying 'do not give goods or products to my wife'. They had an argument like that. He then follows her. They meet and an argument breaks out. A stabbing incident occurs."

'THE INJURED PERSON LOST A LOT OF BLOOD'

Tradesman Ekrem Balcıoğlu said, "I went outside when I heard the voices. One person was lying on the ground. They argued and then the suspect pulled a knife. The deceased friend said, 'Are you threatening me with a knife?' A sad incident took place in a moment of anger. He was injured on his calf and blood was flowing. A lot had flowed. We tried to help him by taking towels and tampons, but we were unsuccessful. Later, the ambulance and police teams arrived, but the injured person had lost a lot of blood. They said he was dead. "We got the news that the butcher here was a tradesman friend of ours, of course I was sad," he said.
