Poison transfer in pilot uniform at Istanbul Airport: Cocaine worth 206 million TL was caught

Another suspect wanted in connection with the seizure of 51 kilos 500 grams of cocaine, whose market value is estimated to be 206 million TL, at Istanbul Airport was caught. While the total number of detentions regarding the incident, which was captured second by second on the security camera, is 3, a suspect who escaped from the airport in a pilot uniform is being sought.

Customs Enforcement Officers, who stopped the person named Orlando Antonio Viana Florez, who came to Türkiye from Mexico on September 13, on suspicion, at Istanbul Airport, detected cocaine in 23 packages with a total gross weight of 26 kilos 340 grams during the examination of his luggage.

TWO SUSPECTS ESCAPED

Customs teams examined the security camera footage and determined that the suspects named Andres Felipe Hıncapıe Arango, who was linked to the suspect, and Ivan Enrique De Castro Hernandez, who was found to be wearing a pilot uniform, left the airport.

HE DELIVERED HIS SUITCASE AT THE HOTEL

As a result of the work carried out under the coordination of the Gaziosmanpaşa Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Andres Felipe Hıncapıe Arango met with Mexican national Roberto Carlos Serrano Astorga in a hotel and handed over the suitcase.

51 KILO 500 GRAMS OF COCAINE WERE SEIZED

Thereupon, a person named Roberto Carlos Serrano Astorga was detained at the hotel. During the search of the suitcase, 25 kilos and 160 grams of cocaine were seized. It was learned that the market value of a total of 51 kilos and 500 grams of drugs seized was approximately 206 Million TL.

The two suspects who were detained regarding the incident were arrested.

WANTED FOR A SMUGGLER IN PILOT CLOTHING

The suspect named Andres Felipe Hıncapıe Arango was also detained within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Gaziosmanpaşa Public Prosecutor's Office. The teams are still trying to catch the suspect who came out of the airport wearing a pilot uniform.
