21-year-old man dies in confrontation with the Military Police in Caraguatatuba, on the North Coast of SP

According to the incident report, the Military Police were called by a man who reported having had a disagreement with the victim. He said that he had gone to leave his daughter at the house of his ex-partner, the young man's current girlfriend, when the argument occurred.

According to the police, the man, upon noticing the presence of the team, took a homemade firearm from a backpack. The police fired five times, and the young man died at the scene.

During the incident, the police also seized portions of marijuana and a notebook with notes related to drug trafficking from the house.

The partner of the man who died is 36 years old and is being investigated for drug trafficking. The young man's mother was arrested for damage to property, after damaging a police vehicle. At the police station, she confessed to the damage, and the police officer set a minimum wage bond.

The case was registered with the Civil Police as a death resulting from police intervention, damage to property and drug trafficking.
