Jusos are calling for new coalition agreements after the BSW parliamentary group is dissolved in Thuringia

In view of the collapse of the Thuringian BSW faction, the Jusos are calling for social democratic priorities in a new coalition agreement. The blackberry coalition made up of the CDU, BSW and SPD originally came together to limit the AfD's shaping power in the state parliament, explained Juso state leader Sophie Ringhand. However, with the announced dissolution of the BSW parliamentary group, the political situation has changed.

“More has changed than simply adjusting the letterhead or cover page of the coalition agreement is sufficient,” argued Ringhand. The government needs a new political basis.

She called for firm agreements with the Left faction and a clear demarcation from the AfD. “It must be unmistakably clear: no cooperation, no agreements and no majorities with the right-wing extremists - not even when it comes to staff elections,” she said.
