KAI participates in MSPO 2026 in Poland and unveils next-generation aerial combat system based on KF-21

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on the 9th that it participated in the 34th International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2026), which will be held in Kielce, Poland, until the 11th (local time).

MSPO is an integrated defense industry exhibition of the army, navy, and air force that has been held since 1993, and about 900 companies from 35 countries participated this year.

At this exhibition, KAI prepared a future combat system zone and unveiled the KF-21, which links unmanned aerial vehicles (UCAV) and multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles (AAP), and the next-generation air combat system (NACS), which connects low-orbit communication satellites. A step-by-step development roadmap for domestically produced fighter jets was also presented.

In the FA-50 zone, the FA-50 shape linked with AAP was exhibited and performance scalability by applying the manned and unmanned complex system (MUM-T) was demonstrated. The FA-50 is a model for which a contract for 48 units was signed with Poland in 2022.

In the rotary wing zone, the MUM-T, which applies an air-launched unmanned aerial vehicle (ALE) to an amphibious attack helicopter (MAH) and light armed helicopter (LAH), was displayed. MAH completed system development last month.

KAI plans to explore follow-up business opportunities with Poland during the exhibition while discussing new businesses with officials from Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovenia.

KAI Vice President Kim Ji-hong said, “The performance and reliability of domestic aircraft proven with the FA-50 are leading to interest in the KF-21,” and added, “We will strengthen the position of domestic aircraft throughout Europe using Poland as a base.”
