He also expressed hope for further cooperation between the two countries, based on common values ​​and the vision of a "secure and prosperous Europe".

The head of the Italian government referred to the congratulations in a Saturday entry on the X platform.

"Dear Karol Nawrocki, thank you very much for your congratulations and the friendship that unites us. We both believe in the importance of the security of our citizens and in a strong Europe based on its values," she wrote.

Meloni assessed that Poland and Italy will continue to strengthen mutual ties and cooperation - both in Europe and "in the main arenas of international politics."

Giorgia Meloni's government was sworn in on October 22, 2022. On Friday, he became the longest continuously serving cabinet in the history of the Italian Republic.

Thus, Meloni's cabinet broke the record of the second government of Silvio Berlusconi, who ruled Italy in 2001-2005.
