Turgay Tamer, the doctor mentioned in the Kaşif Kozinoğlu investigation, was found dead in his home

The investigation into the death of former prison campus doctor Turgay Tamer (66), who was taken into custody in the reopened investigation into the death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu in Silivri Prison in 2011, is continuing in many aspects, regarding his death in his house in Büyükçekmece.

According to the news of Habertürk reporter Mustafa Şekeroğlu, Marina Tamer, who returned from her country Moldova 12 days ago, entered through the window when she could not reach her husband. Marina Tamer entered and found her husband Turgay Tamer motionless on the floor.

Upon notification, medical teams determined that Tamer had died. Thereupon, the statement of his wife, Marina Tamer, who found the body, was taken. In her statement, Marina Tamer said, "I went to Moldova 12 days ago. I returned home today. I knocked on the door, but my wife did not answer. I could not reach her because my wife does not use the phone. So, I entered through the window. I found my wife motionless on the floor. My wife had a blood circulation problem in her feet. She smoked a lot. I do not know if she had any other illness."

Marina Tamer was released after her statement. While the coroner was called to the scene, the death was recorded as a "suspicious death" in the first evaluation. Turgay Tamer's exact cause of death will be determined by the autopsy report from the Forensic Medicine Institute.
