Figure skater Alexandra Ignatova won silver at the Kinoshita Cup tournament

Russian figure skater Alexandra Ignatova (Trusova) won a silver medal at the Challenger series tournament Kinoshita Cup, which was held in Tokyo.

According to the results of the free program, the athlete scored 146.14 points, gaining a total of 221.06 points. Trusova was fourth in the short program. The Japanese Mao Shimada won (78.84+152.48; 231.32), and another Russian representative, Anna Frolova (73.66+134.20; 207.86), won bronze.

Russian Kamilla Nelyubova, who scored 76.08 points in the short program, earned 125.26 points in the free program, receiving a total of 201.34 points, and took fifth place. The bronze medalist of the Olympics in Italy, Japanese Ami Nakai, who was in the lead after the short program (80.27), came fourth (207.72).

The tournament in Japan was Trusova's first international competition since the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, where she won silver in women's singles, followed by her compatriot Anna Shcherbakova.
