16 suspects were caught in the murder of a dead body in a deep freezer in Kırıkkale

The terrible incident occurred on May 16, 2025. C.C., who had a house in Kırıkkale, called M.V., who was learned to be his tenant, when he could not receive the rental fee. M.V's daughter answered the phone and said that her mother had passed away on May 3.

The owner of the house, C.Ç., came to Kırıkkale from outside the province and had a locksmith open the door of the flat to see the condition of the house. During his inspection of the house, he found a dismembered body in the refrigerator and freezer.

During the investigation carried out by the teams, it was determined that a man's body was dismembered and placed in cabinets in garbage bags, and a cleaver was seized in the house.

Following the autopsy at the Kırıkkale Forensic Medicine Institute, it was determined that the body belonged to Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who was declared missing in 2014 and was never heard from again.

Based on technical investigations, communication records and new findings, 17 suspects who were considered to be linked to the incident were identified.

Approximately 12 years after the date of the incident, 16 suspects were detained in simultaneous operations carried out in Kırıkkale, Ankara and Aydın by the Kırıkkale Provincial Police Department Public Order Branch with the participation of many police officers.

It was stated that the investigation was carried out with great care and sensitivity, evaluating all aspects and down to the smallest detail.
