Coalition plans tax increases and higher care contributions for service providers

The coalition is doing everything it can to antagonize the hardworking people in the country. First of all, Federal Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil does not want to compensate for the so-called “cold progression”. This compensation is achieved by adjusting income tax to inflation each year, so that higher tax rates only apply to higher incomes.

Barely 100 days in office, he is probably planning to increase the contribution assessment limit for nursing care insurance. This means that high earners would have to pay care contributions of over 1,000 euros more in one fell swoop. Linnemann's fiery speeches as CDU general secretary and MIT chairman are still remembered about how important top performers are for growth and employment.
