Time is running out to implement e-Delivery

An important change for companies is fast approaching. From October 1, 2026, another group of entrepreneurs will be required to have an active e-Delivery address (ADE).

This is a key element of the new system for exchanging correspondence between companies and offices, which is intended to speed up and simplify the circulation of official documents. The transition period for implementing new solutions ends on September 30, 2026.

Who is obliged to have an ADE?

The expiring deadline applies to entrepreneurs who established their business before 2025 and do not yet have their ADE entered into the Electronic Address Database (BAE). As "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna" emphasizes, it is not enough to just start the procedure - the address must already be entered in BAE before the deadline.

The deadline that expires today applies to entrepreneurs entered in CEIDG until December 31, 2024, who did not make any changes to their entry after June 30, 2025. They must activate the e-Delivery address and enter it in the Electronic Address Database no later than today.

Let us remind you that people who register their business in CEIDG from January 1, 2025, provide data to create an ADE when registering the company. In turn, entrepreneurs entered into CEIDG before 2025, who made changes to their entry after June 30, 2025, must have an ADE from July 1, 2025.

How to set up an e-Delivery address?

Setting up an e-Delivery address is a process that can be performed online. As "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna" explains, an entrepreneur using a public supplier should submit an application via the Biznes.gov.pl portal. The application must be signed electronically - you can use a trusted profile, a qualified signature or a personal signature.

After creating the address, the entrepreneur will receive a message with information about the creation of an ADE. Then it is necessary to log in to the Entrepreneur's Account, enter the e-Delivery box, provide the e-mail address for notifications and activate the box.

Only after completing these activities, the address is entered into the Electronic Address Database and can be used to receive and send official correspondence - emphasizes "DGP".

Box activation – an essential step

Simply creating an e-Delivery address is not enough. Its activation is necessary. The Ministry of Digitization emphasizes that entrepreneurs must remember about three key activities: creating an ADE, activating the box and - if necessary - appointing an administrator to operate the box.

Changes in the way official correspondence is received are an important step towards the digitization of public services. Entrepreneurs should remember about the upcoming deadline and ensure that their companies are ready for the new way of communicating with offices.
