Armed conflict at the music hall in Küçükçekmece: 2 dead, including 1 police officer

2 people lost their lives and 2 people were injured in an armed conflict that broke out in a music hall in Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul.

The incident took place around 03.40 in a music hall on Atatürk Mahallesi İkitelli Street.

Allegedly, a person who came to the music hall started opening fire on the surrounding area for an unknown reason.

Meanwhile, the police officer, who was inside and learned to be off-duty, responded to the suspect with a gun.

POLICE OFFICER AND SUSPECT LOST THEIR LIVES

During the gunfight, the police officer and the suspect who opened fire were seriously injured. Two more people were injured during the incident.

Upon the notice of the music hall employees, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

Upon check by the medical teams, it was determined that the police officer and the suspect died.

SECURITY CAMERAS WERE INSPECTED

After the incident, police teams investigated the music hall. While the security camera footage of the workplace was being examined, the information of the employees was also sought.

After the investigations were completed, the bodies of the deceased police officer and the suspect were taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute.

The investigation into the cause of the incident continues.
