The National Court summons Juan Jesús Vivas to testify for the massive entry of immigrants into Ceuta

The judge of the National Court María Tardón has summoned the president of the Autonomous City of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, and the former Chief of Staff of the Government Delegation Gonzalo Sanz to testify as witnesses in the case investigating the massive irregular entry of immigrants into Ceuta from Morocco on July 30 and 31.

In an order in which he agrees to multiple procedures, he requests from numerous police and military organizations the alerts and risk analyzes that they could have issued in relation to these events. If there are any, ask that the recipients and the means used for their communication and dissemination be specified, stating the date and time in which they took place.

The judge summons Vivas for September 30 and the former Chief of Staff for October 1. On the same day, October 1, he also agreed to take a statement from the head of the Local Police of Ceuta as a witness.

Gonzalo Sanz's summons comes a few days after his resignation due to his disagreement with the statement of the Government delegate, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, that he did not transmit to him the alert that had come from the CNI about the border. Yes he did, maintains the person now summoned in the Court as a witness.

The judge considers that this is "priority" testimony given "the need to know, directly, the information that was available before the events, the existing forecasts, the evolution of the situation and the specific circumstances that determined the operational collapse." After these statements, and when the requested reports have been received, those who prepared them will be called to testify.
