Debate on constitutional reform in view of the 2027 presidential election

Those candidates for the 2027 presidential election who intend to restore the margins of maneuver of public power – whether in terms of national sovereignty, public finances, production and reindustrialization, administrative simplification, security or immigration – are increasingly talking about constitutional change.

From Gabriel Attal to Marine Le Pen, via Bruno Retailleau and Édouard Philippe, there is no shortage of ideas for transforming the constitutional rules of the game in such a way as to restore to the State its capacity to act on reality, in accordance with the expectations of our compatriots. However, the content and methodology of this transformation are currently imprecise and imperceptible to the public.
