"Today in the Senate we are voting on the preferences in the electoral law. There is an amendment (by the Democratic Party, ed.) which proposes pure preferences, without blocked lists, similar to what we at Futuro Nazionale had presented to the Chamber. FdI to date has introduced mixed preferences, i.e. with blocked list leaders which represent a huge mockery of the Italian people. I appeal to the entire right and, above all, to Fratelli d'Italia, who had voted for our amendment in the Chamber: vote this too." Roberto Vannacci says it on fb.

"Since the initial gestation and then in the discussion first in the House and now in the Senate, the affair of the electoral law has been unworthy and painful, not responding in the slightest to the objective it should serve: guaranteeing representation, restoring strength to the citizens' vote and therefore trust in the democratic circuit, being clear and comprehensible. The government thought of making a tailor-made suit but got the measurements wrong and then began to modify some parts based on the trend of the polls and the background of the day.
