Electoral law: discussion from 28 September, vote in October

"The conference of group leaders has established that the general discussion on the new electoral law will begin on Monday 28 September and the final vote will most likely be reached in the first week of October". This was announced by the Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani on the sidelines of the work of the fourth edition of the 'Risorsa Mare' forum organized by Teha Group in collaboration with the Ministry for Maritime Policies at the auditorium of the Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea in La Spezia.

"The decision to place the vote of confidence is a choice made by the government, obviously personally by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, it is not a choice that could have been made individually - comments Ciriani -. It derives from the fact that we are facing a very important turning point for the work of the government, therefore each of us must assume responsibility for the loyalty of a vote in favor of an innovative electoral law which finally guarantees every citizen the ability to vote for a coalition, for a program and for a leader, finally after over thirty years to also choose their candidate to be elected to Parliament".
