In Current Affairs yesterday, it was embarrassing to see how the Liberals' party leader Simona Mohamsson with her dog's eyes pleaded with Jimmie Åkesson with a hug to be part of his team. He openly declared that SD is not a bourgeois party. Among other things, they want to remove all "Muse Pigg education" from universities. L wants a constitutionally protected academic freedom (UNT 2/9). It is not true that the Tidö parties scare that Sweden would have the most left-wing government that has ever existed. V is today less left than S was in the past. Does L not understand that SD hates liberal values, and with SD as the largest government party, Sweden will not become what true liberals want? In Germany in the 30s, people were hypnotized by a wolf in sheep's clothing...

About tone of conversation and focus in the media's coverage: A thank you to Jonas Sjöstedt (V) for a very good article in today's DN about factual tone and where the focus ends up in the media. Above all, SVT's coverage, which has been subject to all criticism. The politicians have a responsibility for the tone of the debate, but also the media, which infantilizes politics and turns everything into a joke program - as entertainment with forced conflicts. We need more cooperation and adult conversations. Not play programs and pie throwing.

It rains promises of one thing or the other about contributions criss-crossing. Mostly for families with children, which is good in and of itself. But there are no requirements for the grants. A family with millions in income gets as much as a family that really needs a little support. But not a word, not a syllable, from any party about the plight of pensioners. I personally manage, because it works out. Many others would really need help. Before 2026, we received a few hundreds of dollars. It is shameful how society treats us who in my case have toiled for over 60 years. Shame on all parties!

I will hold Engonu, Antropova, Sully and all the other Italians, but also Isabelle Haak, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport the "phenomenon": an eighty kilo girl, 195 centimeters tall player, but a phenomenon in terms of strength, resilience and sense of play. In her and in most other volleyball ladies, you can see most clearly the difference between people. Apart from the fact that these women are upwards of two meters tall and have bodies shaped by long and intense training, only giants can play at the front of the net when it comes to volleyball. DN's Facts in the Question today addresses the possible profit withdrawal of the free school owners and makes a big point of accounting technical details, which frankly are irrelevant and sometimes even deliberately misleading - either to minimize/avoid tax or to make it difficult for the taxpayers and the media to trace the path and end goal of the money, the real owners. If the profits are withdrawn continuously or accumulated during a sale several years later is, for example, completely uninteresting. The otherwise ambitious Fakta team gets bogged down in technicalities and thereby misses the whole point: A greater or lesser part of the tax we pay for our children's education does not go to their education as intended. It seeps or flows out, sometimes even abroad.

First, I want to announce that I am not a Sweden Democrat. Have voted C, L and M for the last 50 years. I grew up in a liberal home where DN was as obvious as the morning newspaper. Have always appreciated many of DN's writers. Decided at the last election, 2022, to follow what DN writes about the Tidö gang as government. Have also followed the submissions page during these years and unfortunately came to the conclusion that DN is no longer a liberal newspaper but a mouthpiece for the Social Democrats and the Green Party. The DN editorial team has worked with full force for four years to get one more new S-led government. Sad! As for the submissions page, it is only filled with joke drawings of Jimmie Åkesson and occasionally a drawing of the Tidögänget. So incredibly predictable! It must be a requirement from above that the entire submission page must be filled with criticism of the current government and above all Jimmie. I think it's sad to now end my subscription to DN, but I can no longer bear to read about all the misery that the current government has caused. I think that the entire DN editorial board can uncork the champagne and celebrate a social democratic victory on September 13. As hard as you have worked for it for four years. Now say thank you for me after at least 60 years with DN as a morning newspaper.
