Linda Górecká, Miss World Czech Republic contestant, shared her touching feelings when her mother came to Vietnam to cheer before the finals.

Khanh Hoa Linda Górecká, 22 years old, from the Czech Republic, felt more confident when her mother and relatives came to Vietnam to cheer her for the Miss World finals on the evening of September 5.

Before going on stage to participate in the show's rehearsal on the evening of September 4, Linda Górecká reunited with her mother in the hotel lobby after nearly a month of separation. She said: "Today is a wonderful day. I'm happy that my family had a safe flight to be there before the final night," she said.

According to Linda Górecká, her mother came to Vietnam for the first time. She also has the same love for the country and its people as she does. The beauty queen and her mother had a short conversation and took a commemorative photo before she went to the car to meet the competition schedule.

The beauty queen said to always remember her parents' teachings: "Never stop pursuing your dreams, and listen to your heart." In the past weeks, when she participated in Miss World, her relatives always texted her to ask and update her situation every day.

In the Head to Head Challenge presentation round on August 22, Linda Górecká cried when telling her family story - the inspiration that helped her pursue her philanthropic project. She said both her grandmother and mother had breast cancer. At the end of 2024, Linda Górecká's grandmother passed away before she won the domestic beauty crown. The beauty sees her as an example of the will to live because even though she struggled with illness, she always kept a smile on her face. She said her mother is currently continuing treatment for breast cancer but luckily her health is stable.

For Linda Górecká, her mother also greatly influenced her thoughts and personality. "My mother taught me that even when life seems unfair, each person still has the right to choose love, hope and happiness," she said. Over the past years, Linda Górecká has pursued a project to establish a financial support fund for less fortunate women, while also providing spiritual care and communication about how to prevent and detect breast cancer early.

Before the final, Linda Górecká said to prepare mentally as well as perform. "I try to prepare everything as best I can. I want to tell Vietnamese fans: 'I love you,'" the beauty said.

Linda Górecká has expressed her love for Vietnam many times. The beauty enjoys wearing conical hats or participating in local activities. She was one of the earliest contestants to come to Vietnam to learn about the culture and find a crew to help with clothes and makeup. "Up to now, I can say Vietnam is one of the destinations that brings the most wonderful experiences in my life. The people here are very kind," the beauty said.

Linda Górecká was born in Dětmarovice - a village in the Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic. She is 1.77 m tall and is currently pursuing a modeling career. The contestant has blonde hair, a doll face, and a balanced body. Linda Górecká is one of the brightest candidates in the European region, according to many international beauty websites.

After 72 seasons, Miss World took place for the first time in Vietnam, organized by Golden Lotus Company in coordination with Miss World Organization, passing through three provinces including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Khanh Hoa from August 8 to September 5. The final will take place at the outdoor stage, set up on Nha Trang beach in the April 2 Square campus.

Miss World, first held in 1951, is one of the two largest and oldest beauty contests in the world, besides Miss Universe. The playground celebrates the spirit of global solidarity by finding girls with beauty, education and meaningful community projects.
