Lula says he will tell Trump at the UN that he does not accept US interference in the Brazilian elections

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated this Friday (11) that he will reinforce to President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly, in New York, that he does not accept interference from the United States in Brazil's elections.

Lula and Trump are expected to meet at the opening of the 81st session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, on September 22nd.

"At the UN, I speak first, after I speak, Trump speaks. He will be behind me watching me speak and then I will be watching him speak. I will say, 'or quietly', he is taller than me, 'I will say: I don't meddle in the American elections because it is something that interests the American people, you were elected and I respect the results of the elections. Please, don't mess with Mrs. Lindu's son because I like everyone, respect and I like to be respected."

The PT member made the statement during a campaign event in Porto Alegre.
