Fraud operation in 10 provinces centered in Mardin: 13 detained

13 suspects were detained in the operation carried out against the criminal organization that committed fraud via the internet and virtual media in 10 provinces based in Mardin. A transaction volume of 700 million TL was detected in the suspects' accounts.

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Kızıltepe Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, under the coordination of the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that many people were defrauded with the promise of renting a car, working at home, selling mobile phones, auto spare parts and agricultural and livestock equipment via the internet and virtual media platforms.

In the examinations made on the raw data received from the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), it was determined that the suspects had a total transaction volume of 700 million TL in their accounts.

Within the scope of the investigation, Mardin-based; An operation was carried out at the addresses determined in Mersin, Izmir, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Samsun, Muş, Istanbul, Gaziantep and Bitlis. While 13 suspects were detained during the operation, 1 gun, 30 cartridges and 2 magazines, 14 mobile phones, 14 SIM cards, 1 tablet, 4 USB sticks and 1 memory card were seized during the searches at the addresses. While the suspects' procedures at the police station continue, efforts to capture the 2 suspects continue.
