Maroon 5 opens Brazilian tour with show in São José do Rio Preto

Maroon 5 took to the stage at 8:35 pm this Sunday (6) for the unprecedented show in São José do Rio Preto (SP), in front of an audience estimated by the organizers at 25 thousand people, at the Alberto Bertelli Lucatto Exhibition Center, after an afternoon of rain, queues and much anticipation. And the band has already started by getting fans to sing with Harder to Breathe, one of the first hits of their career.

The performance marks the first time that Maroon 5 has performed in a city in the interior of Brazil and also the debut of the Love Is Like tour in the country. The band will be one of the highlights of Rock In Rio (read more below).

Before Maroon 5 appeared on stage, Lagum had the mission of preparing the public for one of the most anticipated performances of the year in Rio Preto.

The band from Minas Gerais spent around 30 minutes on stage. Even with expectations focused on Maroon 5, the public responded well to the performance and maintained the party atmosphere in the venue.

Rio Preto opens the Brazilian tour

After the show in Rio Preto, the band's first stop in Brazil, Maroon 5 heads to São Paulo, where they play this Tuesday (8). Then there is Salvador (Thursday, the 10th), and Rio de Janeiro, where ck in Rio will be an attraction, on Saturday (12th).

The performance in Rio Preto also places the city, which has stood out as a route for international shows, as the first and only one in the interior of Brazil to host the band on this visit to the country.
