Mattarella, faster EU decisions are now essential

"Being an elderly president in these twelve years I have seen the awareness progressively grow that the Union has an indispensable need for more streamlined and faster decision-making methods. Without speed of decisions these problems, in international life, would be decided by other subjects and in Europe we would passively suffer the effects". The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, said this when speaking about the need for greater European integration at the Arraiolos summit in Slovenia.
