Organization of Turkish States; It has become the institutional basis of our common history, culture and common future vision. A new era is taking shape in the vast Turkish world extending from the Adriatic to the Great Wall of China, where political will is strengthened, economic and commercial relations are developed, and transportation and energy connections are expanded.
The increase in cooperation opportunities in many fields, especially in the defense industry, technology, education, science and culture, shows that the relations between the Turkish states have gained a multidimensional structure.
However, the basis of the relations within the Organization of Turkish States is the principle of respect for the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and domestic law of each member state. Each Turkish Republic is an independent and sovereign state within itself. Cooperation between Turkish states is based on this understanding of sovereignty; It develops on the basis of mutual respect, equality and common interests. From the Aegean to the Caspian, from past to future, Turkey and Azerbaijan are two powerful states of the same heartland. It is of great importance to act on the basis of common sense, mutual understanding and common sense against any approach aimed at damaging the law of brotherhood between the two countries. The fact that Turkey will assume the term presidency of the Organization of Turkic States is an important responsibility and opportunity created by these developments.
Relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan are one of the strongest supports of this process. The historical, cultural and brotherly ties between the two countries are based on the common memory and bond of love of our nations, beyond political developments. In this regard, we believe that the meeting at the summit between the Commander-in-Chief of the Karabakh Victory, the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will once again reveal the unshakable will of the Turkey-Azerbaijan brotherhood.
The Organization of Turkish States Summit, which will be held in Ankara in the last week of October, is of historical importance in this respect. With the transfer of the term presidency from Azerbaijan to Turkey at the summit, Türkiye will assume an important responsibility for the realization of the common goals of the Turkish world. Türkiye; It has an important position in the development of the Organization thanks to its historical background, state experience, economic capacity, diplomatic power and strong relations with the Turkish world. Turkey has a comprehensive work agenda ahead of it during the term presidency.
Ministries, public institutions, universities, local governments, professional organizations and non-governmental structures; They should develop concrete, permanent and result-oriented projects in their fields of responsibility in line with the 2040 Vision Document of the Organization of Turkish States. The understanding of "Unity in language, thought and work" put forward by İsmail Gaspiralı maintains its guiding nature today in terms of developing the relations between the Turkish states in accordance with the conditions of the age.
In this context, cooperation mechanisms in the fields of education, culture, economy, science and technology should be strengthened; Turkey's knowledge and institutional capacity should be evaluated in line with the common development goals of the Turkish world.
The potential of the Turkish world is greater than the sum of the current possibilities of our states. Transforming this potential into a real power; It is possible with common sense, strong coordination, mutual respect, respect for sovereignty and a long-term perspective. Turkey's term presidency should also be a period in which this understanding is transformed into concrete results.
Our direction is clear: to deepen our cooperation on the basis of mutual respect for the sovereignty and independence of the Turkish republics, without allowing any seeds of discord to be planted among us that would damage the law of brotherhood and the bond of love between the Turkish world, especially Azerbaijan, and to build our common future with the awareness of the responsibility our history imposes on us, and to bring together the goal of the Turkish and Turkish Century with the rise of the Turkish world.
During the term presidency of the Organization of Turkic States, Türkiye will continue to contribute to the unity, solidarity and rise goals of the Turkish world with the strength it draws from its history, state experience and future vision.
