Fire on Milan-Prague plane, passengers were evacuated immediately

In the news of the Italian ANSA agency, it was stated that a fire broke out at 17.31 local time (18.31 CET) while EasyJet's A320 type plane, which was preparing to go from Milan to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, with 146 people, was on the connection road of Malpensa Airport.

It was noted that emergency procedures were immediately activated due to the fire and the passengers were evacuated from the plane via emergency evacuation slides.

It was stated that all passengers were in good health, except for two people who were slightly injured during the evacuation.

It was stated that operations at Malpensa Airport were temporarily stopped in order to implement security protocols and the situation returned to normal after an hour.

It was reported that the fire on the plane was caused by a portable charger in a passenger's hand luggage.

It was noted that the Italian National Flight Safety Agency ordered a security investigation to be launched after the fire broke out on the "OE-IVS" registered A320 aircraft while taxiing at Malpensa Airport.
