The Ministry of National Education announced the common written exam calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Education, the nationwide joint written exam practice, which is carried out in order to monitor the development of students in a process-oriented manner, ensure integrity in the processing of the curriculum, and strengthen the unity of practice in measurement and evaluation, will continue in the 2026-2027 academic year.

In the new academic year, a total of 8 common written exams will be held across the country at the 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th grade levels. Open-ended questions will be used in the exams, to which students will create their own answers.

Nationwide common written exams; In the 1st semester, 6th grade mathematics, 10th grade Turkish language and literature, 7th grade Turkish and 9th grade mathematics courses; In the 2nd semester, 7th grade mathematics, 9th grade Turkish language and literature, 6th grade Turkish and 10th grade mathematics courses will be taught. First term first written exams will be held on 11-12 November 2026, first term second written exams will be held on 5-6 January 2027, second term first written exams will be held on 6-7 April 2027, second term second written exams will be held on 8-9 June 2027.

COLLECTIVE LISTS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED

According to the results of the joint written exams, collective lists of students will not be published, and comparative data will not be created between schools and classes. Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will be taken as basis in the measurement and evaluation of students receiving education through mainstreaming. The aim of the application is to determine students' learning levels, identify learning deficiencies, and create data that will provide feedback to students.
