National Men's Volleyball Team defeated Switzerland 3-0

The National Men's Volleyball Team defeated Switzerland 3-0 in the third match of Group D of the 2026 CEV European Championship.

While the match started with mutual points, Türkiye took the lead by 2 points with the points scored by Ahmet Samet Baltacı in the service round: 6-4. Continuing their advantage in the section where Adis Lagumdzija served, the crescent-star team reached double digits: 10-6. Türkiye responded to Switzerland, which had a 7-2 series by dominating the dunks, with Adis Lagumdzija: 13-13. In the set that continued with mutual points, Switzerland increased the difference to 3, but the national team achieved equality: 21-21. Türkiye, which did not make any mistakes in the remaining part, won the set 25-23.

Starting the second set with a 4-point run, Türkiye maintained its lead in the first part: 13-9. The crescent-star team increased the difference after mutual points and gained a 5-point advantage (20-15). Türkiye, which did not allow Switzerland to close the gap in the remaining part, finished the set ahead 25-19 and made the score 2-0.

Türkiye was ahead 8-3 at the beginning of the third set. Switzerland, which increased its influence in the game after mutual points, reduced the difference to 3 (12-15). Türkiye widened the gap with 3 consecutive points and reached 20 points with Cafer Kirkit's dunk: 20-15. Türkiye, which played well in the last part, won the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.

While Türkiye got its first victory with this result, Switzerland lost its third match.

The National Team will face the host Romania in the fourth match of Group D on Monday at 20.00 GMT.
