The first quarter of the match witnessed a head-to-head fight. Belgium finished the first period ahead 26-24, in which both teams hit 4 shots from outside and the scoring advantage changed hands many times.

The second quarter was also balanced. In the first part of the period, Belgium could not maintain its 6-point lead. Taking good advantage of its opponent's mistakes in the last minutes, the National Women's Basketball Team gained a 4-point advantage.
