Roma Coach Gasperini Reveals Transfer Difficulties

Roma Coach Gian Piero Gasperini made a statement about the club's transfer policy and financial restrictions. The experienced coach said that he thought they would be able to act more easily regarding the transfer after the Champions League revenues, but the process did not progress as he expected.

"I THOUGHT THE PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED"

Evaluating Rome's financial situation, Gasperini stated that he thought the income from Europe's number one organization would strengthen the club's hand in squad restructuring.

The Italian coach said, "I thought we had solved our problems with the money coming from the Champions League. However, during the process when we tried to transfer Greenwood and Summerville, I saw that this was not the case."

SALARY BARRIER IN TRANSFER

Gasperini also explained that although Roma were close to reaching an agreement with players on some transfers, they had to step back due to the salary budget.

The successful coach expressed the difficulties the club experienced during the transfer period, saying, "There were football players who wanted to come to Rome, but we had to give up these names due to salary restrictions."

GREENWOOD AND SUMMERVILLE CONFESSION

It was noteworthy that Gasperini especially named Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville. It was stated that Roma made an attempt for two attacking players, but could not finalize the transfers due to financial limits.

While efforts to strengthen the squad continue on the Roma front, Gasperini's words showed that the club's transfer space is not as wide as expected.
