On 9 October 2026 Mina will release the new album Dilettevoli inedite surpluses, which will collect 10 pearls of songwriting chosen and recorded by the artist herself from the Seventies to April 2026. As reported by ANSA, the album will contain both 10 unpublished interpretations of published songs and as many photographs taken by Mauro Balletti and never published before. In a month, at the Triennale di Milano, the first listening will take place. The beloved performer, who has always followed her instincts, dug into her past to enhance 10 covers that she had recorded in excess, without however including them in the final tracklist of her albums. The difference with chapters 1 and 2 of Dilettevoli surpluses (which also included B-sides of 45s, commercial theme tunes or different versions of published pieces), lies in the fact that the current songs are not present in other Mina albums, but are instead collected in this recording work which will be released digitally and in physical CD and vinyl format.

Meanwhile, the first single, Vento di Passion by Pino Daniele, will be released on 18 September 2026, which achieved success thanks to the memorable duet with Giorgia. In the spring of 2026, Mina re-sang the song in her current voice. Moreover, it is known that Giorgia and Mina respect and love each other for many years. Together they also recorded the song Poche parole, contained both in Giorgia's Stonata album and in Mina's Caramella album. With the new version of the famous song by Pino Daniele will also arrive a video clip created by Ferzan Özpetek, which will see the actor Luca Argentero as the protagonist of the singing tale. As we learn, Mina's image should only be visible on a photo envelope of the final notes.

The new album Dilettevoli inedite surpluses by Mina will pay homage to Pino Daniele and another artist with two songs. The Neapolitan singer-songwriter represents an old passion of the Tiger of Cremona, who in the past had already performed several of the artist's masterpieces, from Quanno Chiove to Je Stò Vicino a Te, and again from Napule è to Je s'o Crazy. Now, in addition to Vento di Passione, it could also be the turn of Yes I Know My Way. According to other rumours, then, in the other six tracks the singer will accompany listeners on a journey through even less well-known, but precious to her, songs from the history of music. Among others, there is talk of Ivano Fossati, while some are betting on an unreleased reinterpretation of the Beatles. In the past, in fact, the Tiger of Cremona had reinterpreted the masterpieces of the Liverpool quartet. In any case, in recent years Mina has kept the pieces of the new album like precious pearls in a drawer, which she has finally chosen to share with the public.

In 2022 Mina performed the song Buttare l'amore for the soundtrack of the TV series Le fate ignoranti by Ferzan Özpetek. In the same year, the singer published her first collection Dilettevoli surpluses, which contained her songs that had remained in the drawer or used for commercials and had never been previously edited. In 2023, both the new album of unreleased songs I love you as a fool was released, which includes the song Un crumbio di allegria in collaboration with Blanco, and the second volume of the Dilettevoli surpluses series.
