Driver throws car into river and shoots at PM during chase on MG-265

The incident was recorded in the early hours of Tuesday (20). According to the PM, the chase began after the corporation received information that a white Gol was heading towards Ubá carrying a large quantity of drugs and firearms.

According to the police, the driver disobeyed the order to stop, still in Rio Pomba, tried to hit the soldiers with the car and managed to escape a first blockade. Around 25km later, near Tocantins, upon noticing a new police siege, he threw the car into the river.

After the fall, the man got out of the armed car and shot in the direction of one of the police officers, according to the corporation. The military retaliated, but the suspect managed to escape into a wooded area. He was located and arrested in the morning.
