Harsh Criticism from Murat Emir to the Government: 'There is No Action, There is the Enemy'

NEW Party Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir made evaluations about the recent developments on the agenda via the social media platform.

Emir wrote:

"Imagine a government that has no actions to explain, but always has an enemy to show.

From Istanbul to Ankara, the doors of the country's most established rights organizations were attacked and their leaders were detained. 16 people were arrested in Izmir overnight.

He did not allow those who wanted to protest the operation and detained more than 100 people. There were also journalists following the news.

On the same days, the social media accounts of dozens of journalists, human rights organizations and academics were closed one by one on the grounds of "national security". Evrensel newspaper, Amnesty International, Academics for Peace, MLSA... Nearly 60 accounts were blocked in 24 hours.

Journalist Selahattin Günday was arrested 15 years ago for reporting an image that he did not even take. The article of law relied upon was not even in force at that time. As if that was not enough, a second arrest warrant was issued without taking his statement and informing his lawyer, so that he would not be released.

A lawsuit was filed against journalist Canan Coşkun and documentarian Kazım Kızıl after 7 years for investigating the suspicious death of Rabia Naz.

AKP can never do without enemies; It always needs polarization. Because they have no action to put in front of the citizens, all they have to do is create a new other and generate hatred through it.
