Netanyahu proposes bill regarding NAZA documentary

In his video message published by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu claimed that the three events caused great damage to the Israeli army.

Claiming that these events were Democratic Party leader Yair Golan's statement that Israeli soldiers killed babies as a hobby in Gaza, former Military Prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi's revelation of the rape of a Palestinian prisoner in the Sde Teiman Military Detention Center, and the NAZA documentary showing that Israeli soldiers were war criminals, Netanyahu argued that the Israeli army, which committed genocide in Gaza for two years, "will take action and submit two bills to prevent it from being slandered."

Netanyahu announced that these bills would "revoke the citizenship of those who defame Israeli soldiers and increase the amount of compensation that can be sued by 20 times."

Directors were targeted

At the 83rd Venice International Film Festival held in Italy this year, the film NAZA, which documented Israel's civilian massacre in Gaza, was deemed worthy of the "Special Jury Prize", and the event had a great impact in Israel.

Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir had instructed military intelligence, the military prosecutor's office and the air force to identify the soldiers who spoke in the NAZA documentary by determining whether they were in compulsory service or reserve soldiers.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the NAZA documentary was "anti-Semitic incitement".

On September 13, Israeli Minister of Culture Miki Zohar threatened to deprive the directors of the NAZA documentary, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, of their citizenship.
