NTT Docomo now supports iPhone My Number Card identity verification for d Card online enrollment

NTT Docomo announced on June 11 that it is now possible to use the My Number card on an iPhone to verify the identity of the user during the online enrollment process for ``d Card''.

When presenting the iPhone's My Number Card on the ``d Card'' app, users can tap ``Identity Verification with Apple Wallet'' to check the information used for identity verification in advance. Shared after the user authenticates with Face ID or Touch ID.

Apple Wallet ID supports the ISO 18013-5 series and ISO 23220 series of standards, which provide clear guidelines for protecting consumer privacy. Information related to presentations, such as when, where, and what information a user discloses, is encrypted and stored only on the user's device.
