Dell launches “Dell Pro Max with GB300” desktop workstation equipped with NVIDIA GB300

On August 20, Dell Technologies released the ``Dell Pro Max with GB300,'' a desktop workstation equipped with the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip (NVIDIA GB300). At the time of article publication, the product is sold out on the company's e-commerce site.

NVIDIA GB300 is an SoC that integrates 72 CPU cores (NVIDIA Grace CPU) and GPU cores (NVIDIA Blackwell B300 GPU), and is equipped with 252GB of graphics memory (HBM3e: ultra-wideband memory).

The Dell Pro Max with GB300 is equipped with 496GB of LPDDR5X-6400 memory as system memory, which can be used as 748GB of coherent memory when combined with graphics memory. It also features a cooling system that uses Dell's MaxCool technology to maintain peak processing power for longer periods of time.

Apart from the SoC, "NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell" is also installed in the PCI Express 5.0 slot. The peak performance of AI processing is 20 PFLOPS (20 quintillion operations per second) during FP4 calculation, and it has the ability to process 1 trillion parameter generated AI on-device.

Storage can be equipped with four SSDs connected to PCI Express 4.0, supporting up to 16TB (4TB x 4). The OS comes pre-installed with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, which incorporates NVIDIA's AI tools.

The network port includes 2 x 400Gbps QSFP112 terminals, a 10GBASE-T terminal, and a 1000BASE-T terminal. The USB ports include 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 10Gbps) Standard-A terminals and 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C terminals on the top of the main unit, and 4 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Standard-A terminals on the back.
