Knife attack at school: 1 dead, 7 injured

In the attack, Z.E.B. (13), L.B. (11), M.M.K. (11), Y.D. (10), Z.K. (10), E.S. (13), R.C. A total of eight students, namely (11) and E.S.B (10), were injured. Upon notice, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulances by medical teams. The attacker was caught by school security and handed over to the police teams and was taken into custody.

Education was suspended

After the incident, parents of students at the school experienced great panic. Parents rushed to the school and tried to get information about their children's condition. The police, who took extensive security measures around the school, initiated an investigation into the issue and education was suspended. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and Provincial Police Chief Selami Yıldız visited the students receiving treatment at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital after the incident and received information about their health conditions.

1 person died

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced in his statement that 10-year-old Eslem Sare Bulut, one of the seriously injured students, died despite all the interventions of the doctors.

'He had an anxiety disorder'

While the police started an investigation to determine the cause of the attack, the statement of the mother of the aggressive female student was taken. According to the mother's first statement, it was stated that her daughter had social anxiety disorder.
