Operation against factions fulfills warrants and blocks R$8 million in Acre

An operation against criminal organizations carries out 14 search and seizure warrants and five arrest warrants in Acre this Wednesday (16). The action is coordinated by the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (Ficco) and investigates an organization operating in Acre, Paraíba, Minas Gerais and Rondônia.

In addition to the searches and arrests, of which three were carried out, the Court ordered the seizure of 29 properties and two vehicles, in addition to the judicial blocking of up to R$8 million related to the group under investigation.

The offensive is part of Operation Integrated Force IV, launched simultaneously by Ficcos in 19 Brazilian states. In total, 173 search and seizure warrants and 106 arrest warrants were executed, in addition to precautionary measures against the assets of those being investigated.

According to the Federal Police (PF), the main person being investigated lived under a false identity in Paraíba. Practices such as money laundering and the use of cronies as 'oranges' to register houses, apartments and luxury cars were also detected.

"The investigations revealed that the members acted on a permanent basis, moving large amounts of illicit financial resources and using sophisticated mechanisms to conceal assets. Throughout the period investigated, events related to drug trafficking were identified, which resulted in the seizure of approximately 396 kg of cocaine", he added.
