Operation rescues injured worker and destroys machines on indigenous land in Pará

The action was carried out this Thursday (29) and also aimed to dismantle the logistics used by those responsible for criminal activity.

During the operation, an injured worker was rescued by agents. According to the Federal Police, he was unable to leave the area on his own and had been abandoned by other workers, who fled when the teams arrived.

The man would also be subjected to working conditions suspected of being degrading. The police arranged transportation to a health unit, where he received medical care. Afterwards, he was advised on the necessary measures to guarantee his rights.

In total, three hydraulic excavators, three pickup trucks, four motorcycles, four large engines and four small engines were disabled. 19 shacks used as support bases for mining were also destroyed.

According to the PF, equipment is destroyed when it is not possible to remove it from the area. The measure seeks to prevent machines and structures from being reused in illegal activities.
