Oregon, gunman killed in elementary school. Three children died

The death toll from the shooting that occurred on Thursday 15 October at the Silver Rail elementary school in Bend, Oregon is four dead, three children and one adult. The police intervened following the alarm about the presence of an armed man in the school but when the officers arrived the attacker had already been killed. At least two people were transported to hospital by ambulance.

School in lockdown

The primary school has been placed on lockdown. "We do not yet have confirmation of who shot the suspect. It may have been a bystander. We have multiple people shot right now," Sheila Miller, a spokeswoman for the Bend Police Department, said in a news conference. According to local media, the man was killed by the father of one of the children.
