Philippine Consulate expresses condolences after bus accident in Ostallgäu

The Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt/Main expressed its condolences to the families of the dead after the bus accident with two deaths and numerous injuries in Ostallgäu. The Consulate General announced on its website that they were deeply shocked and were in close contact with some of the affected Filipino nationals and their relatives. “The consulate is ready to provide consular assistance and support to those affected and their families.”

On Sunday, a 33-person tour group on the way from Milan to the Munich Oktoberfest had an accident on Autobahn 96 in Swabia. According to the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters, those affected are Filipino citizens living in Italy.

The identity of one of the two fatalities was not immediately clear. It is also currently unknown exactly how many people were injured.

In the accident near Buchloe shortly before 6 a.m. on Sunday morning, a coach left the road and overturned without the involvement of other vehicles.
