According to AppMagic platform estimates, "Pikmin Bloom" generated global revenue of US$35.7 million through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the first half of 2026, of which Taiwanese players contributed US$18.5 million, which is equivalent to approximately NT$600 million, accounting for 52% of global player consumption, which is equivalent to more than 1 yuan of global revenue of 2 yuan coming from Taiwan.

In comparison, Japan accounted for approximately 23% of global player consumption in the first half of this year, which was an 8% decline from the same period last year.

Offline activities push the popularity even higher

"Pikmin Bloom" was actually launched in Taiwan as early as 2021, but it really became popular after 2024. Before March 2024, Taiwan had only about 5,000 monthly downloads, and then quickly increased to at least 20,000; by October 2025, the monthly downloads had exceeded 40,000. In March of this year, the number of new downloads in Taiwan once approached 700,000 in a single month, hitting a peak. The number of players in Taiwan has increased dramatically, and complaints about "not enough mushrooms" have appeared on the Internet.

Foreign media also pointed out that the popularity of "Pikmin Bloom" in Taiwan has been increasing in recent years.
