Off-duty police officer shoots son who attacked father with knife in the interior of Ceará

Father and son were rescued and are in a local hospital. A knife was seized. g1 found out that the son suffers from psychiatric disorders and was having an outbreak.

The soldier, who was nearby, noticed the attempted murder and went to the scene. Upon seeing the victim on the ground and the attacker armed with a knife, he ordered the individual to stop acting, but received no response.

The Military Police said that the soldier acted promptly to stop the aggression and protect the victim, making it necessary to fire a firearm at the attacker.

Both received immediate medical attention from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and were taken to a hospital for medical care. The knife used in the action was seized at the scene by the corporation.

The incident and the seized material were presented at the Crateús Regional Police Station, where the suspect was charged with attempted murder. He is under police escort in the hospital unit.
