The police arrested a 28-year-old perpetrator of theft and burglary at the rectory in Ząbkowice Śląskie

Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Ząbkowice Śląskie inform that the perpetrator took advantage of the moment when the attention of people near the rectory was focused on the service.

The man broke the window, got inside and took the envelopes with money. Inside there were several thousand zlotys from church donations.

Arrested after two days

After receiving the report, the officers began collecting information and analyzing the secured evidence. They checked further clues that would lead to the person responsible for the burglary.

Two days later, on the evening of September 4, they detained a 28-year-old resident of the Ząbkowice district. The man was charged with burglary.

The money has been spent

The stolen money could not be recovered. According to police findings, the detained man managed to spend it. The man was also previously convicted of theft.

As he explained to the officers, he was under the influence of alcohol during the burglary and could not rationally explain his behavior.
